Just enter their email address on this page to receive a free activation key and download the application on Mac or Windows. DxO Optics Pro 6 Elite is a good competitor to Aperture and Lightroom used to process RAW files. It is not the latest version (dating to 2009) as DxO Optics Pro is now in its ninth version, but the software has not aged too badly and it works on Mavericks. The complete list of cameras supported profiles is available there. Note that the license offered does not move to a higher version at a special price. DxO Optics Pro 9 is sold € 99 in the Standard Edition and 199 € in elite edition (promotional rates until tomorrow). Another promotional campaign ending soon (January 1) on the Millumin; an application for the video mapping for the Performing Arts.

It is sold with a discount of 20% which puts the price at € 479 instead € 599. Several videos show the tool running, alone or through its plug-in After Effects.

Sorry, not interested, I am extremely happy with Capture One for Sony (which is a free download) that works great. I was so happy with it, I upgraded to the pro version upgrade for $50 which is even better.

The Capture One Pro version is a $299 program that I got for only $50 as a Sony shooter. It is the best SW I've ever used. I stopped using PS CS4 once I got it, never looked back or for anything else. We switched my studio at work to Capture One Cultural Heritage when we switched from Sinar to the new PhaseOne iXG 100MP, though I hear DXO's noise reduction is top quality.

I wonder what I will get with Pro 11 (non-Elite)? Thank you very much for this tip-off. I've always had a copy of DxO on my machine - one version or other - as I found I could work nicely with it and this one is a little advanced on my last installed so it;s good to have. I'll always be a staunch user/supporter of Photoshop as I've used it fir about 20 years or so and still use (well enough for me with the loads of super Plug-ins I also have had in it). So this free DxO is welcome and again.

Thanks for the link. For ME it's a good one. PankajDubey wrote: joe6pack wrote: Use this link to sign up - your will get the license key and download link (Windows and Mac) e-mailed to you I'm currently a user of DxO Optics Pro 9 Elite. I wonder what I will get with Pro 11 (non-Elite)?

I have the Optics Pro 10 and this OP11 offer does not even have DxO clear view-you will have to pay $149 for that. As with other poster, I moved to Capture One pro for Sony for extra 50 USD and use Affinity photo or DXO OP10 for other RAW files.

I'll continue using DX10 then, otherwise thanks for the link OP. I tried C1 9 and the default values for luma denoise and sharpening were too aggressive. I see you can select a default preset when importing images though and I might try C1 again sometime in the future. Since I shoot alot of high ISO images I appreciate DXO's Prime. C1 9's luma denoise performed worse by some margin.

What I liked about C1 9 was the operating speed, i.e exporting to jpeg, flicking through image previews, applying settings and the like; much quicker than DXO. Still, Clearview and Filmpack and Prime denoise produced consistently better output of my raws than did C1 9. I searched for some hints on a later version of C1 and a camera I use (A6000) and hah: 'To get the best results from Sony Raw files, I recommend a few changes to the default settings. In particular, the sharpening and noise reduction options'. I love DXO Optics Pro 11 for it's PRIME denoising, it's automatic lens corrections and usability. I occasionally have trouble with the colour output for landscapes with my Sony Raws; the greens look radioactive to me.

The luminosity of the greens seem excessive. Also, I have found Highlight and Shadow recovery to be better in Lightroom. Obviously, lacking local adjustments, directory capabilities and the fact that you have to pay extra for ViewPoint means it's not a one stop solution. I find a combination of DXO and Lightroom great for my workflow.

I tried C1 Express but hated the interface. Even if stripped of features, if this free Optics 11 has PRIME denoising, I would say it is a no brainer to download and try for yourself. Joe6pack wrote: I've downloaded Capture One in the earlier days. I tried it for a few days. Maybe I got used to DxO's interface. I just could not get used to the Capture One process.

The benefit of DxO is that it does very good lens correction. I wasn't impressed with Capture One's capability. Maybe things have changed. Does Capture One let you select between with and without distortion correction, vignetting correction, etc? Yes, at least C1 Pro for Sony does.

Not sure about the free version. As far as getting used to a new interface I guess it's a lot like buying a new car, the switches and buttons are in a slightly different spot but it's really not that hard to adjust to.

Maybe that's just me, YMMV. I have not install mine yet. But I believe PRIME denoising is available in the ELITE edition only. The funny thing is even though I have DxO 9 ELITE, I just realized (after changing the feature set of DxO 11) I have not been using the PRIME denoise.
