Answer Your computer can only display 1080p on the Samsung television, get the (mini display port) to (HDMI Your computer can only display 1080p on the Samsung television, get the (mini display port) to (HDMI) cable to do this on your television. If your television is 4k then it will upscale the image from your MacBook Pro, this worked for my 2008 MacBook Pro, audio will be routed through the same cable, no different cable for audio will be needed.
